PROGRAM OVERVIEW

‘Namgis Treatment Program provides a six week program which provides for the individual an awareness of themselves. Also bringing to their attention the ability to make decisions.

Come learn and grow with us at the ‘Namgis Treatment Centre. Through the 42-day residency program that covers

  • behavioral development such as stress
    management, communications assertiveness
    and time management
  • survival skills such as AA Steps, community
    networking, support system after treatment
  • family dynamics such as relationships, suicide and sexual abuse awareness
  • learn about your own spirituality, other
    beliefs and your own nativeness
  • medical aspects of alcohol and drug
    addictions such as medical physiology and
    nutrition
  • evaluation procedures for better self-
    awareness
  • to live a better lifestyle, free of alcohol &
    drugs

REFERRALS CAN BE MADE TO NAMGIS TREATMENT CENTRE

Alcohol and Drug Counselors , Family Physician, Social Workers, Other Designated Agencies

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO THE PROGRAM

‘Namgis Treatment Centre attempts to meet the needs of people with a desire to be treated for alcohol/drug addiction in a caring and non-judgmental environment. Note that non-status Indians and non-native people are eligible for treatment when sponsored by the Ministry of Children and Families.

‘Namgis Treatment Program is six weeks long and applicants must:

Must be alcohol free for five (5) days and drug free for ten (10) days prior to admittance

Clients have no outside commitment (i.e. Court, Doctor, Dentist, etc.,) that would interfere with Treatment Program.

Intake dates are all six (6) week Treatment Programs – 42 days. Any questions contact PatD@namgis.bc.ca
