First Nations Regional Health Support Workers
Health Canada offers mental
health support services to former Indian Residential School survivors
and their families. These services include First Nation Regional
Health Support Workers (RHSWs). These workers are First Nations
individuals that are able to attend court proceedings, as well
as, provide support to former students and their families. These
services can be accessed through the Indian Residential
School Survivors Society and Tsow Tun Le Lum Treatment
Centre.
