JULIE FONTAINE I came to Tsow-Tun Le Lum in September 1989. It was the caring, safe environment I needed to heal myself and to make changes in my life. The tools I received there carry me through to this day. I have been clean and sober for over 14 years, gone back to school with goals of completing my Master's degree. I've worked in the helping field for over 11 years in the areas of drug and alcohol addiction, work with sexual offenders, in Residential School healing and currently work as a Family Service Worker with high risk youth in foster care. I believe in the work that Tsow-Tun le Lum does. The principles and caring along with the spiritual healing that occurs has helped many people over the years. I received a lot of love and support in my early sobriety, a gift that I have never forgotten. The gift of healing in such places does not impact only one individual. Thanks to the center, the support and the opportunity for me to address the past and arrest my addiction, my children, grandchildren and generations to come have been affected. Breaking the patterns and understanding dysfunction has broken a cycle within my family. Thank you for the gift of life!
